7100 Steps Per Day!

Are you aware that a lot of people focus on exercise to lose weight.  That is possible - to a point.  Higher levels of exercise can start to outpace our appetite and can help to achieve weight lose.  However there’s a lower level of exercise where our body loses the ability to sufficiently downgrade our appetite, and we gain weight. This sedentary zone where our appetite becomes uncoupled from our activity level appears to start at around 7,100 steps a day.**

A frightening fact is that the average Canadian only does between 3,500 to 5,000 steps per day!

The body is an amazing wonder.  Your body tries to keep your weight steady by adjusting your appetite, However, we just weren’t designed to handle extreme low levels of movement that sadly most people are at.

And, as I’ve said before, you can’t out exercise a bad diet.  And although your diet is the major contributing factor towards maintaining a proper weight it doesn’t address the fact that your muscles are a key factor to living a productive healthy life. There is no such thing as a healthy sedentary person.

So Stop thinking of what you want to lose (weight) and start thinking of what you can Gain!  (Look good, feel good, play good)
